Algebraic properties of external numbers

چکیده
Neutrices and external numbers were proposed as models of orders of magnitude within nonstandard analysis. We show that the external numbers form a commutative regular semigroup for addition and that the external numbers which are not neutrices form a commutative regular semigroup for multiplication. The validity of the distributive law is restricted, but it can be fully characterized. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification 03H05 (primary); 06F05, 20M14, 20M17 (secondary)

Algebraic distance in algebraic cone metric spaces and its properties
In this paper, we prove some properties of algebraic cone metric spaces and introduce the notion of algebraic distance in an algebraic cone metric space. As an application, we obtain some famous fixed point results in the framework of this algebraic distance.
متن کاملAlgebraic Properties of Weak Perron Numbers
We study algebraic properties of real positive algebraic numbers which are not less than the moduli of their conjugates. In particular, we are interested in the relation of these numbers to Perron numbers.
متن کاملON SOME STRUCTURES OF FUZZY NUMBERS
The operations in the set of fuzzy numbers are usually obtained bythe Zadeh extension principle. But these definitions can have some disadvantagesfor the applications both by an algebraic point of view and by practicalaspects. In fact the Zadeh multiplication is not distributive with respect tothe addition, the shape of fuzzy numbers is not preserved by multiplication, the indeterminateness of t...
متن کاملThe Sum Graph of Non-essential Submodules
Throughout this paper, R will denote a commutative ring with identity and M is a unitary R- module and Z will denote the ring of integers. We introduce the graph Ω(M) of module M with the set of vertices contain all nontrivial non-essential submodules of M. We investigate the interplay between graph-theoretic properties of Ω(M) and algebraic properties of M. Also, we assign the values of natura...
متن کاملThree Dimensional Analysis of Flow Past a Solid-Sphere at Low Reynolds Numbers with the Aid of Body Fitted Coordinates
In this paper, the flow-field of an incompressible viscous flow past a solid-sphere at low Reynolds numbers (up to 270) is investigated numerically. In order to extend the capabilities of the finite volume method, the boundary (body) fitted coordinates (BFC) method is used. Transformation of the partial differential equations to algebraic relations is based on the finite-volume method with coll...
